“Give me horsepower!“
For those who get a thrill from high-performance engines powering through the waves, at BOAT & FUN BERLIN a wide range of boats and exhibitors will be on show in the section featuring motorboats and motor yachts. The Berlin boating exhibition is among Europe’s leading exhibitions with a huge selection of small and medium-sized motorboats of up to ten metres in length. More than 500 boats are expected to be on display, including various models debuting on the German, European and world stage. Measuring 12.5 metres in length and costing 500,000 euros, the Galeon 420 Fly is the largest and most expensive yacht being displayed at BOAT & FUN BERLIN.
Who can catch the largest fish?
The Angler World has become an event in its own right at BOAT & FUN BERLIN and has developed into a popular meeting place for anglers as well as an important marketplace. Thus, compared to last year the number of exhibitors has more than doubled. Brandenburg and Berlin alone boast around 76,000 anglers who are registered with 1,400 associations and clubs, and at the Angler World in Hall 22 they can find everything the angling heart desires. In the lecture area, the Anglers’ Forum, leading experts will be explaining the art of getting fish to bite. In the fly-casting area, the casting section and in the drilling simulator fishing enthusiasts will be able to try out their own skills.
The sailing boat displays at BOAT & FUN BERLIN feature more exhibitors then ever before. This makes it possible to display even more keel yachts in the 30 to 49 foot class. They include a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 439, the largest yacht at the fair, a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 33i, a Vilm M 115, the largest cruising yacht at the show, and boats from popular makes such as Elan, Sunbeam and Winner. A second medium-high platform is being built in order to provide berths for the popular day sailer category which is represented in unprecedented numbers. Boats include a Teuton 800 from Nusser Yachtbau, a Saffier Sc 8.0 from Diamond Yachts, a Scangaard 21 from Degerö and two classic boat replicas from Fricke and Dannhus. Visitors to the jetties, which are being set up in cooperation with “YACHT – Europe's largest sailing magazine“, can view the latest sailing boats and yachts as if they were in a harbour. Next to the jetty numerous sailing boats made by international companies and in every price category are being exhibited which, with their folding keels and masts, are specially designed for inland lakes and waterways.
