The AnglerWorld Berlin 2017 is set to expand: an overview of the highlights at the angling event of the year

For those who would rather catch big fish than watch them swim away Berlin is the place to be from 24 to 26 November 2017 in Berlin

With a record total of 70 exhibitors from Germany and abroad the AnglerWorld Berlin has established itself as the largest meeting place for fishing enthusiasts with sporting ambitions as well as hobbyists from the Berlin/Brandenburg region. The introduction of AngelBoot Berlin, featuring everything from rubber dinghies to yachts, marks the launch of Germany's first fishing boat exhibition at BOAT & FUN BERLIN. It means that compared to last year’s event the newly organised Angling section will double in size and cover 5,000 square metres in two display halls. From 24 to 26 November major product brands will be exhibiting alongside retailers, tour operators and associations in Halls 21a and 22a. At the AnglersForum, on the BaitTruck and in the Casting Area specialists will offer useful tips and information on every facet of this sport.

For the first time Fisherman‘s Partner, a leading fishing equipment stockist, will be exhibiting numerous products on a single display area. At the Fisherman’s Village well-known brand names such as Black Cat, Climax, Savage Gear, Okuma, Shimano and Sportex will be on display, as well as Fisherman’s Partner’s own products including Axxa, Crazy Cat and Rod Rodman. Well-known anglers will also be in attendance, among them Pro Staff team members Marcel Tahn and Claus Mittmann (Climax, Sportex), Fred Kotowski (Savage Gear), Veit Kazimiersch (Shimano) and Ruwen Koring (Black Cat).

Fishing Tackle Max, Forge of Lures, JENZI, La Gatzo Custom Lures, Quantum, Urban Fishing Lures, Tightline, Topwater Productions, Westin and Zanderkant complete the list of product manufacturers, bait and line suppliers who will be at this year’s AnglerWorld Berlin.

There will also be an impressive number of shops selling fishing supplies at the fair. Angel-Ussat, a megastore run by Uli Beyer and his team for enthusiasts keen on catching predatory fish will be exhibiting for the first time. Among the local regulars attending will be Angeljoe and Fischers Fritze. This year they will be joined by Sebastian Bischoff and Rainer Ballin, who are well-known members of the DAIWA fishing team. Other exhibitors will include Flori’s Angelcenter, Fischersozietät Tiefwerder-Pichelsdorf, FLYRUS, HECHTUNDBARSCH.DE and KoederWahnsinn.

Fishing trips are now becoming increasingly popular. The tour operator Angelreisen K&N.Berlin organises trips to Scandinavia, specialising in Norway and Sweden, and also arranges holiday apartments in these countries.

The ’Echolotzentrum’ run by Thomas Schlageter, an expert on sonar devices, will be exhibiting what is probably the largest range of sonar equipment, GPS devices, map plotters and wet and dry suits at any event. Furthermore, Angelsport Dorsten, Fischercenter Wasserburg, MS-Angelgeräte, REELEX, Twin-Turner, all long-standing exhibitors from outside the local region, are due back at the AnglerWorld Berlin.

The fashion label FISHING SHIRTS TOTAL will be making its first appearance at the fair. Its innovative and original designs reflect the fascinating world of fishing and demonstrate that fishing apparel is by no means old-fashioned. Snoëk Apparel is another trendy fashion label which will be displaying streetwear made in Berlin for the younger fishing enthusiast from the city. For fans of art depicting fish the stand of the Dutch artist Peter Perch will be definitely worth a visit. Peter Perch Fish Art combines street art with traditional drawing techniques and will be showing the artist’s latest works to visitors to the AnglerWorld Berlin.
