From Tiny House to Houseboat: “NeuesWohnen” Showcases Trends at OutVenture Berlin
Flexible living, independent travel and closeness to nature – these desires are driving the growing demand for alternative living concepts. As a new member of the Tiny House Verband (Tiny House Association), BOOT & FUN – taking place for the first time under the umbrella of OutVenture Berlin – will highlight the increasing diversity of the tiny house scene. The association will be represented at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds for the first time this year, strengthening networking opportunities within the sector. Whether tiny house, houseboat or mobile home – the NeuesWohnen experience area showcases modern, nature-oriented living concepts and encourages exchange within the tiny house community.
Highlights and Premieres
Anyone dreaming of life on the water or of owning a tiny house will find inspiration in Hall 3.2. The NeuesWohnen area offers everything from self-sufficient houseboats and mobile homes to individually designed tiny houses suitable as holiday retreats, offices or permanent residences. The Berlin-Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania region, with its wealth of waterways, offers ideal conditions for such lifestyles.
Among the exhibitors are Tom Sawyer with handcrafted houseboats, Flexmarine, and Desidus, who – following the debut of their 18-metre houseboat “Living LuxBoot” last year – are once again presenting a new model at BOOT & FUN. This year, they will unveil the “LuxSuite”, featuring floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, a spacious bedroom with integrated jacuzzi, and a pellet stove. At the Desidus stand, co-exhibitor Pareydies will also be presenting the Parey holiday region with its houseboats and tiny houses.
In late August, German boatbuilder AmSee showcased the “Novaboot” houseboat for the first time at BOOT & FUN INWATER. The company will also be represented with its own stand at the indoor exhibition. Hausboot NRW is also back with a new Campi 340. Aquamper from Poland is celebrating a world premiere: a mobile home on water, developed specifically for waterways after more than 20 years of experience in camper construction. La Mare, originally known for houseboat building, is presenting its new camper. With SEALANDER, the transition from land to water becomes seamless: this production-built amphibious caravan doubles as a motorised houseboat and promises freedom on and off the water thanks to its compact design and convertible feel.
Compact Living Dreams
The tiny house section also offers impressive variety: The Tiny House Verband will use the platform to push for greater political recognition of tiny houses. Baltic Tiny House is travelling all the way from Lithuania to showcase one of its models.
Berlin-based Tiny Space presents multifunctional tiny houses designed for co-working, conferences or podcasting. SWS Forsche Industry is sure to catch the eye with a fully mirrored tiny house. The Prima Gruppe provides information on plots suitable for tiny houses and also offers its own selection of tiny houses.
Tinxs, a Berlin architecture studio specialising in tiny houses, will also be on site. QUBBS offers a modular block system for ecological and sustainable homes ranging from 30 to 120 square metres, which can be assembled without heavy machinery and even as a DIY project.
Mobilheim Kolbe is exhibiting two mobile homes and two tiny houses, while Kunert Mobiles Wohnen and Mobilheim West are also presenting mobile homes.

About BOOT & FUN at OutVenture Berlin
Under the motto ‘Everything – except indoors!’, OutVenture Berlin brings together all facets of outdoor life for the first time – from water sports and camping to fishing and off-roading. Under the new umbrella brand, the established sub-brands BOOT & FUN, ANGELWELT, CARAVAN & CAMPING (in cooperation with Auto Camping Caravan) and OFFROAD & NATURE (in cooperation with Offroad Berlin) present a joint concept that combines trade fair, community event and world of experience.
BOOT & FUN is the leading platform for inland water sports: over 600 motorboats, electric boats, houseboats and sailing yachts traditionally make the Berlin exhibition grounds the meeting place for water sports fans at the end of the season in November. The offering is complemented by BOOT & FUN INWATER in Werder (Havel), which invites water sports enthusiasts to test drives and an open-air atmosphere right on the water at Marina Havelauen every year in late summer.
