OutVenture Berlin captivates 55,000 outdoor enthusiasts at its successful premiere

A vibrant leisure atmosphere filled the exhibition halls: For the first time, OutVenture Berlin united every facet of the outdoor lifestyle under one roof – delighting fans of watersports, angling and camping alike.

The inaugural edition of OutVenture Berlin, which brought together BOOT & FUN, ANGELWELT, CARAVAN & CAMPING and OFFROAD & NATURE under one roof, proved a resounding success. From 27 to 30 November, 55,000 visitors – over 10 per cent more than last year – seized the opportunity to explore the latest trends and products for the coming season across 16 halls and 90,000 square metres of exhibition space. More than 850 exhibitors and brands showcased their products and innovations, using the event as a platform to engage directly with the public.

“With OutVenture Berlin, we have successfully combined the strengths of our individual leisure trade fairs to create an inspiring overall experience – one that clearly resonated with visitors and demonstrated that our concept has hit the mark,” said Daniel Barkowski, Project Manager of OutVenture Berlin. “Visitor interest shows that the desire for active leisure, outdoor experiences and a connection with nature is growing – and we offer the ideal platform for it. The debut has left everyone eager for more”.

BOOT & FUN thrilled watersports enthusiasts

At the heart of Europe’s largest inland and watersports region, BOOT & FUN impressed visitors with a remarkable diversity of brands and models. From luxury yachts to houseboats, and from SUP boards to sailing yachts, the event showcased the entire spectrum of modern watersports. World premieres such as the BALT 950 and the solar-powered boat “Laura” by SYC Gawlowski were among the highlights, while innovative models like the SeaStorm 17 Advantage, Parker 780 Escape, VTS Flying Sharks by PureVolt Yachts and the elegant LASAI solar yachts also attracted attention. Leading brands such as Beneteau, Jeanneau, Quicksilver, Marex, Linssen, X-Shore, Parker Boats, Alumacraft, Suzuki and Torqeedo presented their latest models – demonstrating just how diverse, modern and forward-looking today’s watersports industry has become.

Catina Burchardi, Executive Assistant, aqua marin Boote & Yachten, drew a highly positive conclusion from the company’s participation: “A leisure trade fair couldn’t start any better – on the very first day, we sold a yacht to a new customer we hadn’t met before. The timing of BOOT & FUN is ideal, as watersports fans are already looking forward to the new season. The fair sends a strong message: Berlin isn’t just the capital – it’s also a vibrant hub for everything that happens on the water”.

ANGELWELT records its most successful edition yet, attracting angling fans from across Germany to the capital

ANGELWELT 2025 reaffirmed its position as Europe’s leading trade fair for angling, celebrating its most successful edition since its launch in 2007. Featuring international exhibitors, renowned angling personalities and a diverse programme, the event once again drew huge crowds. Following last year’s record number of exhibitors, ANGELWELT 2025 surpassed this success with a further 20 per cent increase – and was more international than ever. Over 250 national and international exhibitors and brands from countries including Brazil, China, Finland, Japan, the Maldives, Mongolia, Sweden and the USA presented their latest innovations, which met with great enthusiasm from visitors.

“We are overwhelmed by the response,” said Felix Steinacker, Head of ANGELWELT. “The fair was not only fully booked from the exhibitors’ side but attracted angling enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels with an intensity unmatched by any other event. ANGELWELT has become the must-attend event for the entire community – if you’re angling, you’ll come to us – that’s a given”.

The new Finland Pavilion proved a major crowd-puller, offering visitors authentic angling and nature experiences from the “Land of a Thousand Lakes.” The JDM area (Japanese Domestic Market) featuring top Japanese brands such as Duo, Major Craft and Shimano also attracted strong interest. Industry leaders including Fox Rage, Mustad, Gator, SPRO and Marcazu were among the exhibitors.

André Giermann, Managing Director of STROFT, was equally satisfied: “The fair went sensationally well. We had even more visitors than last year. The organisers succeeded in curating a mix of manufacturers that included all the big players – and that draws people in. Plus, Berlin is always worth a visit, so many guests travelled here especially for the show”.

Another highlight was the debut of the FLY ZONE BERLIN, which placed fly fishing firmly in the spotlight. With exhibitors from the fly and coarse fishing sectors, casting demonstrations and workshops, it drew many new enthusiasts. In the Sea Angling Forum, experts shared insights into big game fishing and the best global hotspots, while visitors could refine their casting techniques under expert guidance in the Casting Area. The Baittruck and Kids’ Corner, where families explored the underwater world in a fun way, added further appeal for all ages.

A central meeting point was the German Angling Association (DAFV), which showcased current projects and discussed angling policy under the motto “Fishing in the middle of society”. Cooking shows and expert talks on sustainability and water protection proved particularly popular on the DAFV Show Stage.

That ANGELWELT is increasingly establishing itself as an important B2B platform, which was also evident at the EFTTA ANGLING SUMMIT, the international industry meeting held one day before the leisure trade fair opened. Representatives from industry, trade, politics and associations gathered to discuss current market trends, regulatory frameworks, sustainability and future challenges facing the sector.

Positive feedback and satisfied exhibitors

The new concept received high praise from both exhibitors and visitors. According to initial survey results by Messe Berlin, nine out of ten visitors said they were (very) satisfied with the event. Alongside boats and watersports, camping and caravanning as well as angling were particularly popular segments. Nearly half of all visitors attended for the first time, and nine out of ten plan to return next year.
